Total Screen

Clinical best practice indicates that the total screen will help address health specific conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic lower respiratory disease and cancer, which account for up to 50% of deaths, including premature death. This screen will give the participant a good overview of their general health.

The total screening includes all of the screening tests in the essential screen, with the addition of the keystone eye test, renal profile, and liver profile.

The Keystone eye test examines essential visual functions including acuity, color blindness, peripheral vision and glare recovery. Being aware of vision deficits ensures the safety of employees at the worksite and while driving.

The renal profile provides an indicator of kidney health. High results on a renal profile could indicate levels of dehydration or failure of the kidneys to work properly.

The liver profile identifies if the liver is functioning properly. A poorly functioning liver could be the result of illness, poor diet, medication, or alcohol consumption.

By adding these three tests, the total screening further helps identify areas of an employee's health that could effect their safety on the job, their ability to perform their work tasks to the best of their abilities, and their long-term health.
