Who We Are

Laya Healthcare Limited is a private company registered in Ireland (Company No. 242048).
Laya healthcare and laya life are trading names of Laya Healthcare Limited.

We act as:

  • An intermediary for travel insurance underwritten by AIG Europe S.A (Luxembourg).
  • An agent for health insurance for Axa Insurance dac.
  • A tied agent for life insurance for iptiQ Life SA (Luxembourg).

We receive a 20% commission from AIG Europe S.A. on travel insurance policies (net of stamp duty).


Your Data Protection & Privacy

We may share your personal information with trusted providers and partners to deliver your travel insurance and associated services. We may also share information where required for legal or regulatory reasons.

“Personal Information” includes:

  • Contact and financial details
  • Health or medical information (with consent where required)
  • Details relevant to communications, claims, and policy management

How Your Information Is Used

Your information may be used for:

  • Policy administration and communications
  • Claims processing and payment
  • Medical and travel assistance
  • Business operations and IT management
  • Fraud prevention and detection

  • Quality and training (including call recording)

You may opt out of marketing at any time through your Member Area or by calling 021 202 2000. Service messages will still be sent where necessary.

International Transfers

If you require treatment abroad, your information may be securely transferred to organisations outside Ireland in line with data protection law.

How We Charge

Subscriptions may be paid annually or at intervals stated in your policy documents.
Instalment payments may include a credit charge where applicable.

Laya Healthcare Limited is:

  • Authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland
  • Subject to the Consumer Protection Code 2012 and Minimum Competency Code 2017
  • Registered under the EU Insurance Distribution Regulations 2018

Conflicts of Interest

We maintain strict internal controls to avoid conflicts of interest. If an issue arises, we will inform you. If you feel your interests have not been protected, please contact us so we can address your concerns.


If You Miss a Payment

Your policy may be cancelled if payments due are not received. Please review your policy terms for details. We may pursue payments legally for services already provided.
