Covid-19 agreement between HSE and private hospitals – important update

While we support the ‘Safety Net ll’ agreement the HSE has made with all private hospitals, it’s important to clarify that laya healthcare members continue to be able to access private hospitals, consultants and private clinics on an in-patient and out-patient basis.

Where public hospitals continue to treat patients privately for non-Covid-19 related illnesses, laya healthcare will continue to pay those claims as we normally would. This includes acute hospitals, maternity hospitals, children’s hospitals and private psychiatric hospitals
