Utilisation Review Nurse
The primary function of the Utilisation Review Nurse will be reviewing claims to ensure efficiency and cost containment and making decisions on claims utilisation following evaluation of medical guidelines and benefit determination. Communication and education of hospital personnel and consultants to ensure efficiency will play an important part in the role.
Desirable personal qualities include the ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, tolerance for reviewing, analysing and interpreting data and be a confident decision maker. Good communication skills and presentation skills are necessary.
This role reports to the Medical Practice Manager
Major duties and responsibilites:
- Retrospective Clinical Evaluation of Claims to ensure treatment was carried out in the appropriate setting with an appropriate Length of Stay.
- Involved in setting of fees in the Schedule of Procedures for Professional fees
- Provide Clinical training to non -clinical personnel
- Provide Clinical advice and support to the Business
- Attendance at meetings with hospital and consultants
- Liaise with Clinicians on a daily basis
- Responsibility for reporting and analysing practice in Claims Activity.
- Update monthly reports on utilisation review.
- Draft letters, papers and presentations in relation to the clinical area as required.
- Awareness to market changes in the medical field
- Completion of any ad hoc duties which may be requested as part of the daily running of the Medical Practice team.
Education and Experience:
A registered General Nurse with a minimum of 5 years hands on clinical experience.
Needs to have Computer skills and Presentation Skills, have the ability to be pro-active and decisive in analysing practice and implementing better ways of working creating efficiencies. Confident in dealing with clinicians.
Digital Programme Manager

Primary function:
To lead, co-ordinate and deliver a broad range of digital, social and mobile communication projects from idea generation, to creative design, to product delivery, providing strategic solutions to Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Product Development, Customer Services and Finance in the expansion of our overall market share while at all times creating a nationwide awareness of our brand and our values.
Major duties and responsibilites:
- Act as an ambassador for our brand and our values at all times.
- Ensure the integrated elements of digital projects are brought together on time, to specification and within budget to meet stakeholders’ expectations.
- Identify new and emerging trends in the digital market across multiple channels.
- Take responsibility for all digital project lifecycles including ideation, design & development and pre/post launch phases.
- Understand and communicate the business rationale and technical requirements of digital projects.
- Engage cross functional teams in a collaborative, confident and influential manner to develop digital project objectives, scope, structure, timelines and deliverables to progress the organisation to the forefront in the domain.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a clear and concise fashion.
- Manage all digital projects, identifying and prioritising resources required, establishing delivery plans that take on board the consequences for and concerns of all our business functions.
- Create all planning and execution documents to include project deliverables, deployment schedules and project success criteria.
- Document and circulate all digital project plans detailing activities, ownership, dependencies, risks and timing in a wide cross-functional environment. Follow up with plan component owners to deliver projects on time.
- Demonstrate the ability to grasp issues, to evaluate situations and to make appropriate decisions. Resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvement to project management approaches, policies and guidelines.
- Contribute, where appropriate to the development of marketing strategies and plans.
- Any and all other activities which are requested and within the capabilities of and appropriate to the role.
Education and Experience:
Ideally the candidate will be third level qualified in a Business or Science discipline with three years experience in digital projects/project management. However, career achievement to date and right fit for our culture will be the defining criteria in selection.
Senior Software Developer
Required Technical Skills
1.The ideal candidate must be educated to a degree level and have a minimum of 5 years commercial development experience.
2. Core Technical Requirements: Enterprise Java, JavaScript (JQuery), Advanced level knowledge of Oracle (9i, 10G), CSS, HTML AJAX, Spring, Spring MVC, JSP, Hibernate and/or PowerBuilder. Understanding of Groovy and Grails would be very beneficial.
3. Desirable Technical Requirements: Windows, Linux, JBoss, Tomcat, Subversion, Hudson
4. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technically-astute team members and non-technical business clients.
5. Analytical ability required in identifying user problems and creativity required to present effective solutions.
6. Ability to design and build applications based on defined business criteria and provide an accurate estimate for expected time of completion of a project.
Junior Software Developer

MIS Analyst
Skills Required
- Knowledge of SQL is necessary
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL is desirable
- Knowledge of Query tools such as Qlikview an advantage
- Experience in Data Analytics is desirable

Duties
- Generation of weekly and monthly operations reports for Senior management
- Working on ad hoc report requests
- Working closely with other information analysts to meet defined service levels for key management reports

Occupational Health Advisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of full time Occupational Health Advisor with laya healthcare in the Kinsale area. This is an existing client-based position and experience in the areas of Case Management and Health Surveillance in a pharmaceutical setting is required.
The successful candidate will be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses with An Bord Altranais, will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health and be competent in Audiometry, Spirometry and Manual Handling.
You will need to be motivated, professionally decisive and confident with excellent communication skills. You will need to focus on customer service and have experience in the delivery of sickness absence case management, health surveillance, health & wellness programmes and working in a commercial client setting.
